Last month I was lucky enough to attend an event held by oka-b! The shoes themselves are originally worn at spas but are now a lot more of a holiday essential. They can be washed in the machine which I thought was simply amazing! No more sandy shoes forever.

The real reason I wanted to try out the brand was because I have such terrible problems with my feet, shoes always seem really hard to walk on and leave me with dry, rough skin. Oka-b however, have the most comfortable shoes available ever. I've tried out a pair myself, which are photographed above, they are so cute and my feel are definitely happy in them. I'll be taking them on my america trip this year.

Not only did I get to try out the amazing shoes (which you can customize btw.. :D), but I also had the pleasure of receiving a reflexology session, something I have never experienced before. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. I nearly fell asleep but that's not unusual for me.

Glow Hush had a range of candles and wax melts available too, I went for the sweet opoppanax because sweet scents are my absolute favourite. It was difficult to decide which one to go for because they all smelt so nice. So if you're a candle lover, I would definitely check them out.

I enjoyed the event so much so I'm glad I can finally share it with you!

Let me know if you try the shoes or candles yourself.

So yesterday I visited this little cafe that I'd read about on the internet- as you do. It's fairly new and completely different to your average cafes. You don't pay for the food and drink that you want but instead, you pay for the time that you spend there. It's a strange concept really, you make your own drink (coffee, tea, juice, water, whatever you want really) and then take as much as the food as you like from the selection on the table.

I admit that this is fairly dangerous, I mean unlimited access to cakes and biscuits.. it's never going to end well. It wasn't anything particularly fancy though, just a selection of store bought treats. However, I loved the atmosphere, it was really chilled with couches and games- we played Jenga and Chess, and it seemed like you could just treat it as your own home.

It is 6 pence per minute and we were there for just over an hour, charging around £4 each. I enjoyed the experience as it was different, but I think I'd rather just get a Starbucks and not have to do my own dishes afterwards, plus I tend to like to sit there for quite a while and the price could have gotten a little ridiculous if you were there too long.

Nevertheless, it was definitely something I wanted to try and I'm glad that I did. There are two of these from what I know of, one in Manchester and one that I visited on the Albert Dock in Liverpool. So you could try it out for yourself if one is near you!

I'd never been to Yee-Rah before and I finally made a visit on Monday. I can say straight away I'd visit again. It was very nicely decorated and after being seating onto the comfiest seats, I was prepared to have a good evening.

As I'm a vegeterian, I can sometimes be a little bit fussy with where I eat. There aren't always a lot of choices, but that wasn't a problem. Loads of the dishes had tofu available as a vegeterian option, so I was already happy before I'd even eaten anything.

For starters, I had vegeterian spring rolls- I know, not exactly daring. But they were so nice! And after eating all four of them, I  can safely say I enjoyed them. Like most spring rolls they came with a little pot of sauce and some lettuce.

The next meal I went for was called Udon noodles. Of course, I had mine with tofu but my boyfriend enjoyed his with chicken (there was also a beef option.) The noodles came dressed in a spicy sauce and lots of vegetables, with whatever desired topping. I did go through three drinks with this course as it was extremely hot but it was so nice and simply mouthwatering. (Literally)

Despite being absolutely stuffed, I managed to squeeze in a chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice cream. This could be served hot or cold but I went for the hot option. It was delicious, the chocolate was melting with the cake being so warm and the ice cream just topped it off.

I can't wait to visit again and try some new dishes, I can already tell it is going to be a favourite restaurant of mine!
